Tools You Need for a Basic Paint Project

Spring is almost here and your mind may be turning to “spruce up the house” lists.  New paint on the walls is a big mood booster and an easy way to redecorate without a lot of cost.

2-inch blue painter’s tape: protects painted and finished trim and helps you achieve professional paint lines

Drop cloth: protects furniture and floors

Sandpaper: eliminates imperfections

TSP (trisodium phosphate): cleanses without leaving residue

1-1/2 or 2-inch angled sash brush: great for cutting in corners and painting edges

2- or 3-inch flat sash brush: best for painting flat surfaces

Paint tray and disposable liners: the liner eliminates cleanup

9-inch roller, screw-on extension pole and roller cover: essential for coating walls and ceilings
