Employee Spotlight: Shawn Moore, Superintendent

Shawn is a native of Pendleton, a small town in Madison, Indiana. Shawn grew up on a small farm and enjoyed the tight-knit community. When it was time for Shawn to head off to college, he chose another mid-western small town and headed off to Blackhawk East in Illinois. There he studied to become a teacher and a livestock judging team coach. But his life would soon take him in a different direction.

While in college he started doing some construction work here and there to help pay the bills and found his true calling. Shawn was soon married and soon after started his own construction company in 1997.

Today, Shawn can be found living in Indianapolis with his wife of 26 years and their three amazing kids, two sons and a daughter. Shawn credits his family as being his greatest joy and greatest accomplishment. Shawn loves watching his children play sports and participate in school events. The kids have also gotten a taste of their Dad’s childhood as Shawn and his wife made sure to raise livestock so that their kids too could participate in 4-H events.

Shawn works as the superintendent for Taylor Homes, he loves the honesty and integrity that the foundation of Taylor Homes was built on. He has a team in Indy that works really well together and all share the end goal of building a quality home for their customers. Shawn is hard-working and dedicated to quality and that is reflected in the projects he works on.

Taylor Homes is thrilled to have Shawn on Team Taylor! In fact, he was awarded “Outstanding Superintendent of the Year for 2022”. Congratulations, well deserved!
